| hmmm so it's been exactly one year and one day since my last xanga entry, and I really doubt too many people actually read this stuff anymore, thanks to the introduction of myspace and facebook (which, if you dont have one now, then you should get with the program and get one!) It's interesting to see how one year can seem like such a long time, and seeing how people change, and personally how I have changed as well. Just a year ago, I was totally trippin balls wondering how I would ever get into a decent college, and here I am, two days away from finishing off the bloodbath that is the college application process. Thank goodness for that. For all you Juniors out there and other people who are losing sleep over SATs and extra cirriculars and all that other crap for college, I advise you to not really stress over that. Do the things you love to do, because those are the things that you'll end up doing truly well. Don't Bullshit through things, you're only wasting your time. But ultimately, everything will turn out alrite. Ya'll will end up getting good paying jobs, and lead very comfortable lives. Enjoy your HS years while they last. Anyways, I guess since the last entry I did was a list of new year resolutions, it's time to reflect on what I accomplished from my old list, and see wut I need to add on for this yr's list...
Old Resolutions from 2006:
1. Study Ass off for SATs (something that I should start right now, seeing as Jan 28 is so damn close.) reflection: Not bad, I'm satisfied with my scores for this Stupid Ass Test. Thank goodness this shits done.
2. Maintain GPA. (Two more semesters of pulling my ass from the fire, and Im good.) reflection: the ONLY class I'm worried about is gov ap, ironically. If I get my A there, then I have succeeded in this category. Keeping fingers crossed...
3. Actually study hard for tests from the beginning of the semester (so Im not at the mercy of extremely unfair finals! (*Spanish* *cough*) reflection: hahahaha oh Vizcarra. I did alrite here, altho if I paid more attention in gov, I wouldnt be so damned worried. overall good job here tho.
4. Stay in shape for remainder of Soccer and Track (Im gaining so much bad weight. And ppl say Im anorexic) reflection: It's hellla hard to stay in shape when I don't do club soccer. In the future I need way more discipline to stay in shape, but in all probability Ill end up a fat fuck.
5. Try to get some sort of grip on my love life (Yea, this has sorta
become an annual thing, but really, the older I become, the wiser I
become.) reflection: somehow, I really don't think this is a realistic resolution. I've made a few tries during 06, but something has always happened, and the relationships have had mixed results ranging from staying really great friends to burning bridges. There might be some things that I shouldn't have done, but it's all part of the learning process, and I think it's best to get the most out of my HS years rather than being afraid to take a chance.
New Resolutions for 2007
1. Stop stressing so much about everything. (This should be alot easier for me, being a second semester senior HELLS YEA! Time to go into cruise control from here on out.)
2. Get out more (Gotta spend these last few months with the friends Ive made over these past 4 years. It's gonna suck balls when we all go our separate ways.)
3. If it's right, find love (I know this is unrealistic, but I'm going to get the most out of these last months, and if an opportunity happens to pop up, I'll take it and see where it leads me.)
Yea, that's kinda it for now. There are probably alot more things i want to accomplish for this year, my last in HS and first in college. But for now, this is probably enough to focus on. I guess im lookin forward to a new year that involves alot of changes in my life. And I probably wont do another damn xanga entry, seeing as this was kinda pointless. But hey, looking back on the year has been pretty enlightening, so hopefully I've learned something from all this wasted time, and hopefully I can make this new year a great success.

| Finals Status:
Spanish- 95.5% (Im actually really pleasantly surprised, seeing as I hate that class so much.
Wind Ensemble- A of some sorts? (Hopefully, I wont fail something like band...)
American History- 97% (good call not takin Apush...yea, im a lazy bastard)
Calc AB- 92% (I always fuck up on math finals, so this semester calls for another miracle)
Lit- 94.6% (Depending on how my essay was, I can either slack off, or have to work my ass off for poetry final. Damn my complacency in lit.)
Chem AP-91.2% (Another final that is really creeping up my ass. Damn Labs and Tests)
Yep, time to pull my finals week magic and somehow barely get wut i need for each one. It has never failed...yet.
For all of those going in our group to WF, we have to meet sometime to discuss dinner plans and rides and all that crap. | | |
